Mission Statement

At Seven Oaks Elementary School, each student is a unique individual who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Our child-centered approach encourages positive self-esteem, respect for others, and the motivation to achieve the highest academic expectations.

The Seven Oaks staff and community work cooperatively in creating an integrated learning experience for all students. We encourage an active educational environment to enable our students to become self-directed learners, collaborative workers, critical thinkers, creative problem solvers,
and environmentally conscious citizens. Our students are being prepared
to be life-long learners who are contributing, cooperative members of a
rapidly changing technological society.

We strive to improve the academic achievement of our students through
their active involvement in their own learning and the collective efforts of
our professional staff, parents, and community members.

Ms. Bundy

Ms. Danitra Bundy
A Beloved Teacher, A Caring Friend
Ms. Bundy began her teaching career in Perry Hall, Maryland over 35 years ago. When Seven Oaks Elementary School opened their doors in 1992, Ms. Bundy joined our family as a charter member of the teaching staff. Throughout her teaching career, she touched the lives of many students, families and colleagues in a multitude of ways. Ms. Bundy was an enthusiastic teacher, loyal friend, dedicated colleague, fabulous story teller, and above all, had a generous soul. Ms. Bundy embraced the African American Read-In Chain, that encourages recognizing multicultural diversity in our literary world. It is a program which continues to be a tradition at Seven Oaks Elementary School. We were deeply saddened by her untimely passing and feel an incredible loss in our community. Ms. Bundy will be forever missed but always remembered.
Seven Oaks Elementary School would like to honor her years of dedication to education. We will be sponsoring a fundraiser in order to raise money in hopes to purchase a bronzed children’s sculpture in memory of our beloved teacher and colleague, Ms. Danitra Bundy. This sculpture will be placed on the grounds of Seven Oaks Elementary School. If you are interested in making a donation, please fill out the form below and send it to:
